Privacy Policy
Plain-English answers about what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Version 2026-10-21 · Effective October 21, 2026
The short version
We collect only what we need to understand your home, schedule your visit, and send you your report. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use analytics or advertising cookies.
What we collect
- From the Get Started form: your name, phone, email, the parent or homeowner’s name, the property address, approximate square footage, how you heard about us, your concerns, any notes you add, and your policy and text-message choices.
- When you pay: our payment processor handles your card. We see that a payment was made (and basic details like name and amount), but we never see or store your full card number.
- During the visit: notes and photos of the home’s condition for your report.
- When you contact us: whatever you choose to share by email, phone, or text.
Why we use it
- To contact you and schedule the Home Baseline Assessment.
- To confirm property size and any size fee before the appointment.
- To prepare your photo report and recommend a membership plan, if you want one.
- To provide ongoing service if you become a member, and to keep basic business records.
Who helps us process it
We use trusted service providers to run the business. They handle your information only to provide their service to us. These include providers for:
- Customer management (CRM)
- Texting / SMS
- Payment processing
- Scheduling
- Website hosting
- Form processing
We may also share information if required by law, or to protect someone’s safety.
SMS / Text Messaging
You can opt in to texts using the checkboxes on our Get Started form. Appointment and customer-care texts and promotional texts are separate choices, and both are optional. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase.
If you opt in, we may text you about appointment scheduling, reminders, visit updates, and customer care. We send occasional promotional texts only if you separately agree to them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time. You can also reach us at hello@myhouseinorder.com or (210) 807-9997.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We may share information with service providers that help us deliver messages, only to send those messages.
Records of consent
When you agree to our policies or opt in to texts, we keep a record of when consent was given, the policy version, and the form used.
Photos of the home
Photos are taken to document the home’s condition for your report. We try to keep people and personal items out of frame. We don’t post photos of your home publicly or use them in marketing without your written permission.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you’re a client and for a reasonable time afterward for records, taxes, and follow-up. If you never book or you ask us to delete your information, we’ll delete what we don’t need to keep by law.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we have about you, or to stop contacting you. Just reach out at hello@myhouseinorder.com or (210) 807-9997. We’ll respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.
Children
Our service is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Texas residents
We’re a small San Antonio business and follow applicable Texas privacy law. We don’t sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. If you have a request about your data, contact us and we’ll help.
Changes
If we change how we handle information (for example, adding website analytics), we’ll update this page with a new version and effective date.
