Terms of Service
The plain-English ground rules for using our website and services.
Version 2026-10-21 · Effective October 21, 2026
Who we are
House in Order is a Home Steward service serving San Antonio, Texas. By using this website or booking a service, you agree to these terms.
Scope of Services / Not a Professional Inspection
House in Order provides routine home stewardship, maintenance observations, and coordination services.
Our assessments are visual, non-invasive observations of accessible areas. They do not replace licensed real estate inspections, engineering evaluations, code inspections, or other specialized professional services. We do not certify a property’s condition, safety, or code compliance. For those needs, we recommend hiring an appropriately licensed professional.
The Home Baseline Assessment includes a photo report. No repairs are done during that visit. Optional membership plans (Essential, Plus, Complete) may be chosen after the report.
Payments, cancellations, and refunds
The assessment is priced by home size ($199 up to 2,500 sq ft, $249 for 2,501–3,500 sq ft, $299 for 3,501–4,500 sq ft, custom quote over 4,500 sq ft) and is paid up front; homes over 4,500 sq ft are quoted first. We confirm size with county records. If it's off, we'll settle the difference before your visit. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Your responsibilities
Please give us accurate information about the home, make sure we can access it at the scheduled time, and let us know about any pets, hazards, or areas we shouldn’t enter.
Limitation of Liability
House in Order provides visual, non-invasive home stewardship assessments, routine maintenance observations, and related coordination services. Our observations are limited to areas that are visible and reasonably accessible at the time of service.
Our services do not constitute a licensed real estate inspection, engineering evaluation, code compliance inspection, warranty, or guarantee that a property is free from defects, hazards, or future maintenance issues.
House in Order is not responsible for concealed defects, conditions that could not reasonably be observed during our visit, or issues that develop after our assessment.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, House in Order’s total liability arising from its services will not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the services giving rise to the claim during the preceding twelve months.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or other conduct for which applicable law prohibits such limitations.
